Ober Gatlinburg To Close Ski And Snowboard Slopes As Of Wednesday

Warmer than normal temperatures are forcing Ober Gatlinburg to close ski operations. Although this has been a non-typical winter as far as temperatures it has occurred before. The 2007/2008 season was a very similar season with a hot dry summer followed by a warmer than normal winter. 2 Homes Totally Destroyed By Fire On Sunday In Separate Blazes

Two homes were totally destroyed by fire in separate blazes on Sunday afternoon. At  5 p.m. , a neighbor called 911 reporting a house fire at 3910 Fairmont Pike on Signal Mountain.
