Johnathan Layne Wheat, 48, of Rossville, Georgia died on Saturday, April 12, 2014.
He was born May 12, 1965, in Milledgeville, Ga. He was of the Baptist faith, an employee of Jeff Porter Roofing Company and he enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time with his family and friends; especially watching his girls play softball.
Survivors include his mother, Sharon Frazier, foster mother and aunt, Stella Wheat, three children, Megan (Jonathan) O'Mary, Mollie Sue Wheat and Macy Johnna Wheat, stepson, David Burris, stepdaughter, Sadie Robison, two brothers, Larry (Sheila) Wheat and Scotty Barnes, Grandson, Ridge O'Mary, Nieces, Amanda and Abby Wheat, special friends, Robin Sutton and Alicia Greene, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 16, from 3–9 p.m. and prior to the funeral service on Thursday which be held at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
