Toshi Smith, 84, of Fayetteville, North Carolina for 42 years, died on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. 

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who survived the Battle of Okinawa during World War II to come to the United States and become a citizen.

She is survived by her son, Koda (Gayla) Smith, Hixson; grandchildren, Amanda (Dan) Kokan, Leigh Anne (Brad) Bongiovanni; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Kokan, Lily Gephart, and Cruz Bongiovanni.

Services will be private. 

Arrangements are  by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy Daisy.
