Let's Sing From Memory Group Is For Alzheimer's Patients And Caregivers

Christ United Methodist Church has started a new ministry for those in the community with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers.  “Let’s Sing from Memory” provides a time of fellowship and fun while singing old songs. 

The group will meet on the second and fourth Tuesday mornings of each month from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Youth Center. Christ United Methodist is at the intersection of East Brainerd Road and Morris Hill Road, across from Hurricane Hills and Publix. The church phone number is 892-9363.

Erlanger Nearing Deal To Acquire Hospital In Murphy, N.C.

Erlanger Health Systems is nearing a deal to acquire a hospital in Murphy, N.C. Both the boards of Murphy Medical Center and Erlanger are slated to vote to approve this agreement next week.    The Murphy Medical Center board votes  next Tuesday  and Erlanger’s trustees vote on the agreement at  next Thursday’s  board meeting,  Jan. 25 .
