Raymond Haney, 86, of Dalton, GA, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014.
Mr. Haney was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from the United States Army as sergeant first class. Raymond loved his cat, “Princess”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. and Callie Jenkins Haney; son, Sammy Haney; eight brothers, Clarence Haney, Fred Haney, Hubert L. Haney, Paul Haney, Gayle Haney, John F. Haney, Roy Haney, and Wayne Haney; and two sisters, Willie Mooningham and Ethel Coleman.
Survivors include his two sons, Bobby Haney of Calhoun, GA, and Jerry Haney of Dalton, GA; step-son, Joe Durke of ID; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Lora Kibble of Cleveland; and a brother, Felix Haney of Rex, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 18, at Grissom Funeral Home with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 17 at the Grissom Funeral Home who is in charge of the arrangements
