Pilgrim Congregational Easter Dawn Service In Brainerd Mission Cemetery

An Easter Dawn service at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 400 Glenwood Drive, will be at 8 a.m. Sunday in Brainerd Mission Cemetery off Brainerd Road in the Eastgate Shopping Center.  Dr. David Brown will speak on "Singing in a Cemetery," with text from John  20:1-9. A continental breakfast will follow at 9:30 a.m. in the parlor for members and visitors.

At the Easter Festival Service at 11 a.m., there will be music, flowers and words of Easter faith.  Dr. Brown will speak on "All Things Intermingle," with texts from Matthew 28:1-10 and Romans 8:28, 31-39. An Easter Egg Hunt will follow the worship service.

Other Holy Week services include a  Maundy Thursday, Seder Service from 6 to 8 p.m. which will include Holy Communion and the Office of Tenebrae.  There is no charge, but make a reservation with church office.

The sanctuary will be open for prayer on Good Friday, from noon to 3 p.m., .

County Commission Votes 8-1 To Deny Permit For Controversial Bakewell Firing Range
