Norman Lee Headrick, 78, of Hixson, died on Sunday, April 20, 2014. 

He was a “number one self-made man”.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Hayes of Whitwell; daughters, Della Headrick of Hixson, Debra Headrick of Hixson, Vickie Williams of Fort Oglethorpe, and Alice Bowman of Lafayette, In.; sons, Bill Headrick of Nashville, Doyle Ray Headrick, of Whitwell, Benny Satterfield, of Houston, Norman DeWayne, of Whitwell and Mike Satterfield, of Dayton; sister, Angie (Michael) Burnett, of Red Bank; Walter McNabb, of Red Bank; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Minister Ken Chambers officiating.  Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park. 

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.
