ACE Awards Banquet Set For Tuesday

  • Wednesday, April 23, 2014

The 2014 ACE Award Banquet will be Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m. at the UTC Student Center, Tennessee Room, 2nd Level.

Only 15 percent of college freshmen plan to major in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, according to the Higher Education Research Institute at UCLA.

One ACE representative said, "Giving students the experience, confidence, and financial opportunities to pursue these careers (in architecture, construction, engineering, and related areas of design and construction) is what The ACE Mentor Program does.

ACE students meet after school with professional mentors from the building industry."
