Railroads And The Location Of Chattanooga Is Topic At CAHA May 5

The Chattanooga Area Historical Association and the Local History Department of the Public Library invites all to a talk by Dr. Jim Ward.  The topic is "“Railroads and the Location of Chattanooga.”  The program will start at 6 p.m. at the downtown Chattanooga Public Library.

Dr. Ward retired from UTC’s History Department but not before being recognized by the University’s Student Government Association as professor of the year five times. He received both his B.A. and M.A. degrees in History from Purdue University and his Ph.D. degree in History from Louisiana State University. Dr. Ward joined the UTC History Department in 1969 and has received numerous awards for his research and publications.
