The audit committee of the City Council will hold a session regarding whether the city should proceed with a major purchase of high-efficiency lights from the local Global Green Lighting firm.
Councilman Larry Grohn, who heads the audit committee, said the session will be May 13 after the council's 3 p.m. agenda session.
He said City Internal Auditor Stan Sewell appeared before the full council on Tuesday morning on a hastily-called session on the lighting issue. He said, "He went through process related to his audit findings. There was no deliberation."
Councilman Grohn said Assistant City Attorney Phil Noblett was at the session.
He said the meeting was called quickly because Mr. Sewell will not be available next week.
