City Specifies 21 Lots For Redevelopment

  • Tuesday, April 29, 2014

City officials will offer 21 surplus lots to developers/landlords to get them back on the tax rolls and provide apartments for low-income citizens.

Donna Williams, administrator of economic and community development, said the city started out with 266 potential lots.

She said there was a complex vetting process, including 19 different environmental reviews since federal funds are involved.

The lots to be offered include those with clear titles.

The county transferred its interest in some of the lots to the city.
