New Alzheimer's Support Group Starting At Christ UMC

Christ United Methodist Church has started a new ministry for those in our community with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers.  “Let’s Sing from Memory” provides a time of fellowship and fun while singing the old songs we all love and remember. 

The group will meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday mornings of each month from 10-11:30 a.

m.   The next get-together will be April 8 in the Youth Center. Christ United Methodist is located at the intersection of East Brainerd Rd. and Morris Hill Rd. (across from Hurricane Hills and Publix.) Church phone number is 892-9363.

Organ Recital Offered At First Christian Church On Monday

6,533 Apply For Chattanooga Housing Authority Voucher Program

The Chattanooga Housing Authority closed its Housing Choice Voucher Program application process Monday at 11:59 p.m. There were 6,533 applicants. CHA will randomly select 1,000 of those names on Monday, for the voucher program waiting list. Times Free Press Pays Bonuses, Has Layoffs

The Chattanooga Times Free Press told employees on Monday that the newspaper had improved financial performance over the prior year quarters and employees were receiving two percent bonuses.
