Passion Narrative At Christ Episcopal Church Sunday

The Palm Sunday Holy Eucharist, Rite II Sunday at  Christ Episcopal Church, Douglas at McCallie, begins at 10:30 a.m. with the Liturgy of the Palms, Procession into the Nave and the Passion Narrative.

Maundy Thursday April 17,  Holy Eucharist, Rite II begins at 6 p.m. with foot washing; procession of reserved sacrament to the Altar of Repose, and stripping of the High Altar. An Agape Meal follows in Fox Hall.  Watch at the Altar of Repose, will be from approximately 9 p.

m. Maundy Thursday to almost noon Good Friday.

Good Friday, April 18, will begin with Stations of the Cross in the Nave at 11 a.m.  At noon will be the Good Friday Liturgy with Veneration of the Cross and Communion from the Reserved Sacrament.

April 19: Holy Saturday: The Great Vigil of Easter and First Holy Communion of Easter begins at 8 p.m.

Community Invited To Mizpah Anniversary Celebration

Mizpah Congregation, one of the country’s oldest Reform Jewish houses of worship, is celebrating its 150 th year with a benefit concert performed by the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra conducted by CSO Music Director Emeritus Bob Bernhardt. Family Forced From Home After Storm Blows Tree Down

As a severe thunderstorm blew through the Chattanooga area Sunday afternoon, high winds knocked down a large tree onto a house around  4 p.m.  at 1105 E. 13th Street. Michael Wilson is back in Bradley County, and was escorted into the Correctional Facility around 8:15 p.m. Wilson’s first appearance in court will be on Monday, at 9 a.m. in the Bradley County General Sessions Courtroom at the Judicial Complex at 2290 Blythe Ave. Wilson was arrested last week, after e ndangered Bradley County child Skyla Wilson was found safe in Colorado ... Often I visit Gold's Gym at Chestnut and 4th Street. I  park in the theater parking lot at Broad and 4th Street.  I depend on the walk signs to get me there safely.  Most days I almost get hit by someone turning left or right coming from the exit ramp off 27 or turning right on 4th street from Chestnut.
