Passion Narrative At Christ Episcopal Church Sunday

The Palm Sunday Holy Eucharist, Rite II Sunday at  Christ Episcopal Church, Douglas at McCallie, begins at 10:30 a.m. with the Liturgy of the Palms, Procession into the Nave and the Passion Narrative.

Maundy Thursday April 17,  Holy Eucharist, Rite II begins at 6 p.m. with foot washing; procession of reserved sacrament to the Altar of Repose, and stripping of the High Altar. An Agape Meal follows in Fox Hall.  Watch at the Altar of Repose, will be from approximately 9 p.

m. Maundy Thursday to almost noon Good Friday.

Good Friday, April 18, will begin with Stations of the Cross in the Nave at 11 a.m.  At noon will be the Good Friday Liturgy with Veneration of the Cross and Communion from the Reserved Sacrament.

April 19: Holy Saturday: The Great Vigil of Easter and First Holy Communion of Easter begins at 8 p.m.

Deputy Beaten After Vehicle Crashes In His Yard Sues Officers

A man who was mistakenly beaten by officers who had been pursuing a pickup truck that crashed into his home has sued Hamilton County and the officers for $700,000. Aaron Lucas Shelton and his wife, Heather Nicole Shelton, filed the suit in Circuit Court. Aaron Shelton is himself a deputy sheriff. Signal Council, Residents Concerned About Unsafe Driving En Route To Schools

The town council of Signal Mountain is dealing with a traffic problem caused by increased traffic to and from Signal Mountain Middle High School and Nolan Elementary.
