East Ridge Offices Closed In Observance Of Good Friday

On Friday, April 18, East Ridge offices and City Services will be closed in observance of Good Friday. Sanitation will pick up recycling as normally-scheduled on Friday, April 18 for the South-side residents and businesses on Ringgold Road.  For more information on recycling, call East Ridge Sanitation at 892-8666.

The East Ridge Library will be closed on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19 for the Easter holiday. It will resume the normal operating hours on Monday, April 21. For more information about the East Ridge Library, visit

2 New Officers Join Dalton Police Department

The Dalton Police Department’s two newest hands are now officially officers within the ranks thanks to their unanimous confirmation Tuesday by the Public Safety Commission. Officers Evan Driskill and Paul Ledford both graduated from the police academy in Cherokee County, Ga., earlier this month. A teen was shot multiple times on 4th Avenue on Monday night. The victim was 19-year-old JaMarcus Davis.
