Annual Lookout Jr. High School Reunion Set For May 3

The annual reunion of all alumni of Lookout Jr. High School will be held Saturday, May 3 at the former school campus on West 40th Street in St. Elmo, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The building will be open, and former students are invited to meet in the auditorium.  Bring finger foods to share.  Coffee and water will be provided.  If you have any Lookout memorabilia such as class photos, school newspapers, or graduation programs, bring those to the event.

The reunion has been held each year since 1992.  Lookout Jr. High alumna Catherine Dodson led the first gathering of the former Bobcats.  She still serves on the reunion committee, along with Jimmie Sue (Orrell) St. James, Stanley Whitfield, and Sherry Stone Whitfield.

Lee Catches World Youth Fly Fishing Champion To Lead New Team

Lee University signed Mason Sims, the 2015 world champion U.S. Youth Fly Fishing Team member and silver medalist, on Thursday to Lee’s recently established fly fishing team.  The university created their fly fishing program in spring 2014 in conjunction with the International Federation of Fly Fishers. Lee University announced the 2016 Rymer Scholarship winners. Daniel Mooney, 31, Shot On Greenway View Drive Saturday Evening; Warrants Issued For Paul Vandiver, 65

Daniel J. Mooney, 31, was shot Saturday night, and Paul Vandiver, 65, is being sought on several charges. Chattanooga Police responded at 7:17 p.m. on Saturday to  an argument in the homeless camp area near the 400 block of Greenview Way Drive. Mooney suffered a single gunshot wound. Rescuers Help Man After He Falls 30 Feet From Signal Bluff

Rescuers helped a man back up after he fell 30 feet on a Signal Mountain bluff on Saturday night. However, he was not seriously injured. At 11 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting the fall. Walden's Ridge Emergency Services responded to 1425 East Brow Road. When rescue personnel arrived on the scene, they reported a 25-year-old male had fallen 30 feet off the side of ...
