Annual Lookout Jr. High School Reunion Set For May 3

The annual reunion of all alumni of Lookout Jr. High School will be held Saturday, May 3 at the former school campus on West 40th Street in St. Elmo, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The building will be open, and former students are invited to meet in the auditorium.  Bring finger foods to share.  Coffee and water will be provided.  If you have any Lookout memorabilia such as class photos, school newspapers, or graduation programs, bring those to the event.

The reunion has been held each year since 1992.  Lookout Jr. High alumna Catherine Dodson led the first gathering of the former Bobcats.  She still serves on the reunion committee, along with Jimmie Sue (Orrell) St. James, Stanley Whitfield, and Sherry Stone Whitfield.

Chattanooga State And South College Sign Articulation Agreement

Dr. Rebecca Ashford, president of Chattanooga State and Mr. Steve South, president of South College, signed an articulation agreement between the two institutions on Jan. 9. Snow Reaches Chattanooga on Tuesday Afternoon, But Brings Little Accumulation; Many Schools, Most Courts Closed Wednesday

Young Gets 23 Years In North Chattanooga Murder

Abram "AB" Young pleaded guilty on Tuesday morning to a murder in North Chattanooga and was sentenced to 23 years in prison. Young was 17 at the time of the 2015 slaying of 19-year-old Charles Holsey during a drug deal behind the Kangaroo on Dallas Road. He is now 20.
