Seder Thursday, Egg Hunt Saturday At Covenant Presbyterian

Wednesday, April 9, 2014

A Seder service by Covenant Presbyterian Church, 8451 East Brainerd Road, will be held Thursday, April 17, at the Colonnade in Ringgold. The service commemorates the exodus of the Jews from Egypt, eaten together by Jewish families the first night of Passover.  What the church will do Thursday night is a reminder of how important it is to recall what took place in Egypt, the significance of the events of that night and anticipate events that would occur at Calvary. It will be a family meal with the focus on remembering what God has done.

Registration is required by emailing or by phone at 899-5377.

Saturday, April 19, the annual egg hunt will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a full breakfast, a fun event as a fundraiser for the youth programs. At 10 a.m. there will be a story explaining the reason for celebrating Easter, followed by the egg hunt at 10:15 a.m. for children age 2 through 5th grade.

Where Is The Speed Control On Our Highways? - And Response (3)

I am teaching my 15-year-old to drive in the North Georgia and Chattanooga area. I have warned her of the dangers of exceeding the speed limit both as a hazard to herself and in terms of receiving a ticket. What a liar I am.  Have you driven on the local freeways and highways recently? I never see any highway patrolmen helping to reduce speeding or pulling over those who ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: The Testerman Forum

I badly misjudged how long it would take me to do my “early voting.” I was in-and-out in no time so I got to the Hamilton County School Board’s agenda meeting well enough beforehand to have an “educational forum” with board member David Testerman. If you haven’t noticed, forums and summits and “community enlightenment” groups are the new rage and, as my friend David laughed, “They ... (click for more)
