Woman Charged With Death Of Toddler In Fetanyl Case

A Chattanooga woman has been charged in the death of a toddler in a case in which it was ruled that he died from a Fetanyl pain patch being placed on his back.

Jaquelin Ann Escareno, 50, of 7655 Boriss Dr., is charged with criminally negligent homicide in the death of Demarcus Bryant.

The 23-month-old child was found dead in his crib.

Ms. Escareno is a relative of the child and had been watching him while his mother worked.
