Food For The Soul Event Is May 31 At Union Hill Baptist

Union Hill Baptist Church, at 1800 North Chamberlain Ave., is celebrating the 9th Pastoral Anniversary of Pastor Samuel R. Jackson, First Lady Vivian Jackson, and the Jackson family on Saturday, May 31, at 3 p.m. in the William H. Ryan Jr. Fellowship Hall. 

Performances will include comedian Tresha Rutledge, the talents of Evelyn Lovelady, and the voices of Gerald Benton and Herbert Hewliss Brown.  The St. Elmo Church Dance Team will also perform. 

There will be food, fun, and fellowship at the event, honoring Pastor Jackson and his family.  

Doors open at 2 p.m. and the event follows at 3 p.m.  Donation is $10 and includes food and entertainment.

Man Convicted In 1997 "Cold Case" Murder Gets 22-Year Prison Sentence
