Honor Society For Engineering Students Begins At Chattanooga State

Chattanooga State announced that a new honor society for engineering technology students, Tau Alpha Pi, has been established at the college.

Students in Tau Alpha Pi must be currently enrolled at Chattanooga State, be academically in the upper 25 percent of his/her class, carry a minimum 3.5 grade point average (cumulative and semester), and have carried this ranking for at least two consecutive semesters. In addition, members must be of acceptable character and demonstrate marked ability in engineering technology.


Mattress Fundraiser To Benefit New Track At Central High

Central High School will host a Mattress Fundraiser event to support building a new track on Saturday and Sunday, May 13-14.  The event will be held at the Central High School gym from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday, May 14. Lymorris Martin, 59, Stabbed To Death; Rachel Green, 51, Is Arrested

Chattanooga Police responded to the 3200 block of Broad Street early Sunday morning to a person who had been stabbed.   Upon arrival, officers with the Chattanooga Police Department located Lymorris Martin, 59, who had received multiple stab wounds.
