Mrs. Eddie Etter
Mrs. Eddie Etter

Mrs. Eddie Etter, administrative assistant to the athletic director and wife of Baylor's head baseball coach Gene Etter, was the recipient of the 2014 Tower dedication. The presentation was made at Awards Day on Monday. The dedication reads:

Whether she's behind the scenes - arranging transportation, organizing after-school activities, coordinating senior nights, having the answer to all questions - or on the scene - cheering, supporting, sometimes coaching, always loving - it is clear to everyone that Mrs. Eddie Etter has a deep, deep love for Baylor.

For 25 years she has lent her support to Baylor's athletic directors, coaches, and students. For over 40 years, she has shown great devotion to Baylor teams, athletes, and coaches - one very special coach in particular.

With gratitude for her remarkable dedication to our school for one-third of its history, the Baylor Class of 2014 dedicates this issue of The Tower to Mrs. Eddie Etter.

Jeffrey Cross is a community activist in the very finest way. He has no idea that I and many others have followed what he has done, and tirelessly I might add, to enhance the St. Elmo neighborhood at the foot of Lookout Mountain. I wish this world had a million Jeffrey Crosses. So when he wrote in protest of my Monday story, “We Want Our City Back,” I was more than eager to read ... (click for more)
