Graves Wins 14th District Congressional Primary

  • Tuesday, May 20, 2014
U.S. Rep. Tom Graves released the following statement after he was declared him the winner in the 14th Congressional District Republican Primary:

"Growing up in a single-wide trailer on a tar and gravel road, I never imagined my life would include the privilege of representing Georgians in Congress. Thank you to the people of the 14th District for entrusting me with your vote. Tonight, the work continues -- that eternal effort to build a prosperous future for our families and to pass the torch of freedom on to future generations. Our challenges are many, but I can attest that, with big dreams and hard work, anything is possible in our great country."

Rep. Graves will run unopposed in November's general election.

He was winning with about 73 percent of the vote.
