Wednesday, May 21, 2014

There will be a picnic on the lawn following the 10:30 mass this Sunday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1716 Anderson Pike, Signal Mountain. Bring a side dish or dessert and celebrate the beginning of summer.

Family Camp will kick off the summer with 4 fun-filled evenings of connecting with Jesus' life and God's Word through the great outdoors, Tuesday through Friday, May 27-30 from 5 to 8 p.m. Dinner is provided. Pick up a registration form from the parish office.

There will be activities for the whole family - including parents! Each evening will begin with a simple dinner together and then break off into individual groups where children and teens will enjoy songs, crafts and games while the adults will have an opportunity to socialize and discuss our Catholic faith.

Friday evening will end with a picnic and outdoor activities for all.

Roy Exum: School Board Can’t Wait

It took the Hamilton County School board nine months before the group hired a search firm to find a new superintendent. But you mark my words – the Department of Education will undoubtedly implode if our leaders wait another nine months simply hoping for some type of mystical salvation. In the last week Signal Mountain leaders have all but given notice they will form their own district ... (click for more)
