Man, 22, Shot Multiple Times And Killed At House On Appling Street; 2nd Person Injured

A 22-year-old man was shot multiple times and killed at a house at 2314 Appling St. on Wednesday night.

He was identified as Desean Pierce.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.

A second person, 21-year-old Christopher Brown, was also shot multiple times, but his injuries were not life-threatening. Police were notified that he had arrived at a local hospital.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m.

Chattanooga Police are pursuing suspect leads at this time and attempting to work with potential witnesses.  Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact the Chattanooga Police Department at 423 698-2525 or Crime Stoppers at 423 698-3333. 

Pierce, a validated gang member, in 2010 was charged with aggravated burglary and two counts of aggravated robbery. He got a suspended six-year sentence for aggravated burglary.

Pierce was picked up in January on a charge of violating his probation.
