Christian Brothers Ends Baylor State Soccer Run

The Baylor boys soccer came one game short of a Division II AA state soccer championship Thursday.  Christian Brothers freshmen Cole Cannon scored in the 68th minute to beat the Red Raiders, 1-0,  and win the state soccer championship.  

Baylor beat Father Ryan 2-0 on Wednesday in the semifnals to earn a shot at the state title. 

Colin Brewer had six saves for Baylor on Thursday.  

Baylor finishes the season with a 14-5-1 record. 


Dalton State Golf Men And Women Have First Round Lead In Chick-Fil-A Invitational

The Dalton State men’s golf team has a three stroke lead after the first round of the 36 hole Chick-fil-A Invitational at the par-72, 6924 yards Coosa Country Club. Shooting At Woodlawn Apartments Claims Life Of 20-Year-Old Male; Victim Shot Multiple Times

A shooting late Monday night at the Woodlawn Apartments has claimed the life of a 20-year-old male. Erlanger Refinancing To Provide Cash For New Children's/Women's Hospital, $50 Million Erlanger East Expansion, $8.5 Million Surgical Improvements

Erlanger Health System officials said an overhaul of the hospital's debt will include $70 million in new loans for several major hospital projects - including $11.5 million toward a new $30 million Children's/Women's Hospital.
