Circuit Court Judge Neil Thomas has been away from the courthouse for several weeks with unspecified medical issues.
Officials in the Circuit Court clerk's office said they are continuing to assign cases as usual to that court.
However, Judge Jeff Hollingsworth has been handling the Thomas motion dockets.
