Resurfacing Project To Affect Various Catoosa County Locations

State & County Funded patching/resurfacing is in progress at various locations in Catoosa County. Work will begin on Farming Rock Road on Tuesday, May 27, weather permitting. Roads (or portions of roads) that will be affected are: 

? Farming Rock Road 
? Potts Road 
? Twin Cedars Road
? Lee Clarkson Road 
? Mt. Vernon Road
? Ross Hollow Road 
? Water Mill Trace
? Denmoore Drive 
? Ivory Way
? Champagne Circle 
? Ed Winters Lane
? Catoosa Station Road 
? Taylor’s Ridge Road
? Smith Templeton Road 
? Springvale Road 

This resurfacing project has a scheduled completion date of August 15, 2014. Catoosa County appreciates the patience and cooperation of everyone during this multi-road resurfacing project.

Whitfield County Landfill, Convenience Centers To Be Closed In Observance Of Independence Day

Four Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority facilities will be closed on Monday in observance of Independence Day.  Locations include the Old Dixie Landfill and Convenience Center, McGaughey Chapel Convenience Center, Westside Convenience Center, and the M.L. Teen Shot Multiple Times On 4th Avenue; 2nd Youth Shot Twice On Pinewood Avenue

A teen was shot multiple times on 4th Avenue on Monday night. The victim was 19-year-old JaMarcus Davis. A second teen, 18-year-old Jaylain Ballard, was shot twice early Tuesday morning on Pinewood Avenue.
