Erlanger Offers Classes And Events For June 2-8

The Erlanger schedule of classes and events for June 2-8 and includes a diabetes class, bariatric support group and family planning classes.  

Erlanger now offers online childbirth education class.  The online class is an easy-to-understand interactive program that includes more than 70 videos, animated illustrations, downloadable PDF files, review quizzes and information specific to Erlanger East and Erlanger Baroness birthing services.  By choosing the online childbirth program, participants will have access to all the information for six months.  The cost for the courses is $25.

Monday, June 2

Bariatric Support Group

5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Erlanger Chattanooga Lifestyle Center

Bariatric Support Group meetings are for individuals scheduled to have Bariatric surgery or who have already had weight loss surgery.  Call Erlanger’s HealthLink at  778-LINK (5465) for more information. 

Diabetes Education Class

1:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Erlanger Chattanooga Lifestyle Center

This class will explore ways to manage diabetes.  Call 778-9400 for more information on physician referral and insurance reimbursement.  

Thursday, June 5

Childbirth Education

5:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Erlanger East (Gunbarrel Road)

This childbirth education class/series is designed for expectant parents and taught by experienced OB nurses.  These classes include stages of labor, relaxation and labor support techniques, hospital procedures, pain management options, after birth and home care for moms and in-hospital care for newborns.  There will also be time for questions and answers.  Registration fee is $75.  Call Erlanger’s HealthLink at  778-LINK (5465) to register.

Girlfriend Says Wright Was Driving Her PT Cruiser When He Left With Pair Whose Bodies Were Found At Cemetery

The girlfriend of William Howard Wright testified Tuesday that Wright and "Little Tony" were with two youths whose bodies were afterward found in a cemetery at Shepherd. Chattanooga Police officers will be earning more under a $1.4 million pay improvement plan announced Tuesday.
