Man Shot While Standing Outside In Alton Park

Police said a man was shot early in the morning on Saturday while standing outside at Alton Park.

At 1:04 a.m., Chattanooga Police officers responded to 4927 Jeffery Lane on a person shot. Upon arrival officers found 38-year-old James McCracken.

He said he was standing outside when he heard gunshots. He then noticed a black vehicle and heard more gunshots and realized that he had been shot. He did not have any suspect information.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his right leg but refused medical attention.

There is no other suspect information available at this time.
