Chattanooga Zoo Brings New Pals To Morning Pointe

Volunteers from the Chattanooga Zoo bring new animals with them during their visits to residents at Morning Pointe of Hixson.

During this month's visit, they introduced residents to Eddie, a 22-year-old tortoise. The seniors took turns petting Eddie as they learned all about his lifestyle and habitat.  The residents were surprised to see how calm Eddie remained while at the Assisted Living Community - not once did he hide away in his shell.
