Chattanooga Woman Dies In Wreck While In Florida Keys

A Chattanooga woman died in a wreck Sunday while visiting the Florida Keys.

Virginia Gilbert, 70, died at Fishermen's Community Hospital in Marathon, Fla.

The 12:25 p.m. wreck was at southbound mile marker 34 of U.S. 1 when a vehicle in the opposite lane veered and struck the 2006 Toyota being driven by Ms. Gilbert. Rebecca Gilbert, 35, was injured.

Cynthia Vanderwilt, 56, of St. Johns County in North Florida was the driver of the 2013 Chevrolet that caused the fatal wreck.
