Chattanooga Man Arrested For Attacking His Girlfriend; 11-Year-Old Son Calls 911 For Help

A Chattanooga man was arrested for attacking his girlfriend after police received a 911 call from her 11-year-old son.

According to police, the child told them his mother and her boyfriend, Dana Key, 40, were in a heated argument and that Key was threatening the woman with a knife. 

The woman told police that during the argument, Key became violent. She said he grabbed a knife and told her he would "end her."

It was then the woman said she ran to her sleeping son's room, begging him to call the police. She said that moments later, Key caught up to her and shoved her to the ground. 

She said when Key realized the boy had called the police, he ran.

However, police arrived and managed to detain him. According to police, Key said he was only leaving to go to work.

He was charged with aggravated domestic assault on Tuesday.
