The Transportation Department announced construction of the proposed roundabout at Jenkins Road and Igou Gap Road has began. The intersection is closed to eastbound and northbound traffic.
An intersection bypass will be provided for westbound and southbound traffic.
Estimated project completion date is Aug. 15. Detour routes will be posted.
