Cody Godfrey Wins Cleveland Invitational

CLEVELAND, Tenn. -- Cody Godfrey built a big lead and held on to win the annual Cleveland Country Club Men's Invitational here Sunday.

Godfrey added a 71 Sunday for a two-day total of 141, despite a triple-bogey on the final hole.

It was the second Chattanooga TPC series win for Godfrey, who won the 2012 Chattanooga Men's Metro Championship at WindStone.

Hunter Vest finished second at 144 on Sunday while Joe Markham took third at 146.

Keoni Vidrine shot 77-71 and won the Championship B Division.

Mitch Hufstetter shot 74-77-151 and won the Senior Division.

Spiegel Says Walker County Could Make Payments On $8,705,000 Hutcheson Debt; James Says Letter is Heavy-Handed

Erlanger Health System CEO Kevin Spiegel has written Walker County Commissioner Bebe Heiskell to say that Erlanger would consider taking payments on the $8,705,000 Hutcheson debt. Customer At East Ridge Gas Station Shoots And Kills Robber; He Had Been Trying To Take Female Clerk With Him

East Ridge Police said a customer at an East Ridge gas station early Thursday morning shot a robber, who was then found by police lying outside the station and was arrested.  The robber has died.  His name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
