Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Dept. invites you to bring out the family and kick off Memorial Day Weekend at the 10th Annual Beach Blanket Movie Night at Chester Frost Park Beach on Friday, May 23. It is a free event, and the public is invited to bring chairs or blankets or watch the movie from your boat on the 3 story screen.  Sound will be broadcast in FM transmission.

Due to licensing restrictions, the name of the movie cannot be advertised, but it’s a 2013 Columbia Pictures sequel about a young scientist who invented a machine that creates “food hybrids”. The scientist and a group of his friends must go to a mysterious island and stop the “foodimals” from escaping.

Family activities will be held before the movie and concessions will be sold.  The movie will begin at dark. The movie is sponsored by Erwin Marine Sales, Lifeguard Ambulance Service and Hamilton County Parks & Recreation Dept. For more movie information, call  842-6748.
