Early Bird Registration For The Chattanooga Mud Run Ends May 31

The early-bird registration deadline for the largest and muddiest race in the Scenic City, the Chattanooga Mud Run, will end on May 31. Teams (comprising of five participants) who register by this date can save $50 off the full price of $250. The price to compete in the individual competition is $60.

The muddy 5K Race will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 8:30 a.m. at Greenway Farms, a 180-acre city park located in Hixson.  Proceeds raised from the Chattanooga Mud Run benefits Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area.

Participants will climb walls, trudge through icy mud baths, crawl through tunnels and complete more than 20 obstacles. The event continues after the race with live entertainment at the Chattanooga Mud Run After Party.

Person Shot And Killed In Hixson

A person was shot and killed in Hixson early Friday morning. At 3:25 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a person who had been shot at 4849 Hixson Pike. Officers were on regular patrol in the area and located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Hamilton County EMS.
