4 Injured In Serious Auto Crash In Cleveland

Two people were injured in an auto crash on Wednesday in Cleveland.

Bradley County EMS responded to the serious two-car crash Wednesday night at the intersection of 25th Street and Peerless Road. The initial response was at 9:10 p.m. As EMS crews arrived, they encountered a crash scene with multiple patients and requested for more EMS units to respond.

EMS sent a total of five ambulances and a shift commander to the scene. Patients had to be extricated from both vehicles by the Cleveland Fire Department.

Air medical was requested to respond. Erlanger's Lifeforce landed at the landing zone at Sky Ridge Medical Center.

A total of four patients was transported to area hospitals. A 25-year-old male was transported to Sky Ridge ER and was later transported by EMS to Erlanger.

A 22-year-old female was transported to Sky Ridge ER by ambulance in serious but stable condition.

One patient was flown via Lifeforce to Erlanger Medical Center in critical condition and another went by ambulance to Erlanger in critical condition. Their ages are unknown at this time.

There are no updates at this time on patients' conditions.

Bell Gets 8-Year Sentence For Attempted Child Rape

A Brainerd man was given an eight-year sentence after pleading guilty to attempted rape of a child. A charge of child rape was dismissed. Meredith Coy Bell, 35, appeared before Criminal Court Judge Barry Steelman.
