Lee University alumni Eric Brown and Taylor Jones have won the Webby Award for Best Professional Services website with their company Whiteboard.

The Webby Award, praised by The New York Times as “The Internet’s Highest Honor,” is the preeminent award honoring excellence on the internet. The Webby Awards are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, consisting of internet industry executives and entrepreneurs.

“Honorees like Whiteboard are setting the standard for innovation and creativity on the internet,” said David-Michel Davies, executive director of The Webby Awards. “It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the 12,000 entries we received this year.”

Mr. Brown graduated from Lee in 2009 with a discipleship ministries’ degree, and Mr. Jones with a business administration and accounting degree in 2010.

Whiteboard was founded by Mr. Brown and Mr. Jones in 2010. The company is a “holistic creative agency” specializing in front-end development, web design, and corporate branding.

“We built this company to leave a positive effect on the culture around us,” said Mr. Brown. “This honor is a credit to the entrepreneurial spirit found within Chattanooga, and to the dozens of individuals who have spoken into the professional and personal lives of our team.”
