6 Have Picked Up For East Ridge City Council

Six people have picked up thus far in the East Ridge City Council contests.

Open seats include those held by Vice Mayor Jim Bethune and Larry Sewell. Marc Gravitt is not seeking re-election, but is taking a state House seat.

Mr. Bethune is running for mayor along with Frances Pope. They have both qualified to be on the ballot.

Picking up for council are Robert Stahl, Jacky Cagle, John F. Clemmer, Doris Rogers, Brian White and Robert Bedwell. Mr. Stahl, Ms. Cagle and Ms. Rogers have qualified.

Red Bank Mayor John Roberts is the only contender thus far for Red Bank Commissioner at Large.

Eric Fairchild and David R. Smith have picked up for District 1.

Jane Hosemann has qualified for District 3.

Chris Howley has qualified to run for Signal Mountain Town Council.

Susan Robertson and Robert Spalding have picked up.

William Neighbors and Valerie Boddy have picked up for Lakesite Commission.

Phil Garver has picked up for Collegedale Commission.

Home Damaged By Fire On Greenwood Drive

Chattanooga firefighters were dispatched to an evening house fire on Thursday evening. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at  7:26 p.m.  and responded to 1911 Greenwood Drive with 5 fire companies. Incident commander Capt. Barons Batter Lookouts Again Thursday As Chattanooga Loses, 9-6

Danny Mendick hit a two-run double in the third inning, and Keon Barnum homered and had two hits as the Birmingham Barons defeated the Chattanooga Lookouts 9-6 on Thursday.
