In Support Of Patsy Hazlewood - And Response (2)

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

Patsy Hazlewood is the candidate best suited to represent the people of District 27. I have been a friend and colleague of hers for over 20 years, and have seen her work extremely hard as a business woman, business advocate, friend, and family member.

I, Bill Raines, along with my fellow veterans, Admiral (R) Eytchison and Commander (R) Sandy McMillan both of Signal Mountain, Colonel (R) Frank Hughes of Lookout Mountain, Lieutenant Colonel (R) Scott Hardin of Red Bank, and Navy Corpman (R) Jim Shull of Soddy Daisy are hoping the constituents of District 27 make it to the polls and vote for Patsy.

She will speak for the people, and will do her best to ensure veterans, guardsmen and reservists are receiving what they have earned and deserve. Patsy is a sincere person with great appreciation for the people who served our county. She had several relatives serve overseas for the United States, and I know she will be a great voice for anyone, but particularly those who have served.

Join me and my fellow veterans and vote Patsy Hazlewood for state representative of District 27.

Major General (Retired) William B. Raines, Jr.

Patsy has a proven ability to achieve goals and work with people in our community.  Growing up on a farm, she learned a work ethic and commitment that she demonstrated in her career with the ability to rise through the ranks to lead at Bell-South.

She has also served the community in many volunteer leadership activities, including the role of President of the Downtown Rotary.  I believe she will listen to people, work hard and represent us well.  I hope my friends in Falling Water will vote for Patsy.

I feel strongly about this race because I’ve worked with and volunteered under Patsy’s leadership for over 15 years on a variety of projects.  She has great integrity and personal character.  With her high-energy and work ethic, Patsy will listen to her constituents and make a positive impact in the 27th District.

Patsy’s professional credentials and business acumen speak for themselves.  I encourage you to go to her website to learn more and then compare her practical experience to that of the other candidates.  Educate yourself so you can make an informed decision on election day.  I believe you will see that Patsy is the best-qualified choice for state representative for the 27th District.  Please vote for Patsy Hazlewood on Aug. 7.  Early voting is July 18-Aug. 2.

Time To Target The Criminal

While we are in the mood to give up our constitutional rights, why not go after a few in our justice system that protect the criminal and not restrict the law-abiding gun owner?  I for one would be more agreeable to keeping some of these killers off the streets. I gladly welcome TSA screening at the airport, I am pleased when they ask me for an ID at the bank even though ... (click for more)

Unbeaten Fairyland Clinches Red Division Swim Title

Members of the Calhoun swim team were set and ready to compete on the pool deck at the Fairyland Club Monday night, but they never got wet as the meet was postponed by lighting, thunder and the overall threat of stormy weather. They made the long trip back about 24 hours later and the second time around wasn’t nearly as productive as 21 less swimmers made the trip to the top ... (click for more)
