Chattanooga Acoustic Showcase Planned For Charles and Myrtles

The dates for the Chattanooga Acoustic Showcase at Charles and Myrtles (105 Mc Brien Road) are July 11, July 25, Aug. 8, Aug. 22, Sept. 5, Sept. 19, Oct. 3, Oct. 17, Nov. 14, Nov. 28 and Dec. 12.

The plans are to have a variety show/ hootenanny with 3-4 acts a night.

Basic guidelines: Performers are to be from immediate Chattanooga area, all age friendly and it will be very eclectic. Looking for musicians of all types, poets, storytellers, spoken word, reading of essays, short stories,and one-act plays.

Artists are encouraged to bring work to display. Jugglers are also welcome. If interested, contact charlesandmyrtles@gmail.com or on Facebook.


Lee To Host Faculty Recital Feb. 10

Lee University faculty members Steve Benne and Dr. Phillip Thomas will present a recital on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. in Squires Recital Hall.  The program will include pieces by G.F. Lee University Faculty Wind Quintet To Present Concert Monday

Arrests Made In Connection With Fire At Brainerd Trophy Shop

Fire investigators Captain Moore and Captain McElvain made two arrests Friday night in connection with the fire at the Brainerd Trophy Shop that occurred  on Friday  morning.
