  • Wednesday, June 11, 2014

Crime Stoppers and the East Ridge Police Department are seeking information regarding a theft at East Ridge Hardware.

On May 21, police were dispatched to East Ridge Hardware at 5339 Ringgold Road on a theft around 8:25 a.m. The manager stated that two black males entered the store at the same time. The first suspect distracted the victim while the other suspect went to the office. The second suspect entered the office and took over $1,100 in cash.

Once the cash was in hand, he exited the building. The manager heard the door chimes and went to check the area.  When the victim walked away the first suspect exited the business and got into a black, possibly Chevrolet Blazer or a SUV-type vehicle, with a black male driver.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers. A confidential call could result in a cash reward.

Call Crime Stoppers at 423 698-3333.
