Frederick Jennings
Frederick Jennings, 53, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Thursday, June 12, 2014 in NHC Nursing Home.
He became a Christian at an early age. He loved the Tennessee Vols. He was a graduate of Howard High School Class of 1979. He was formerly employed at Tri State Drum and Golden Gallon Plant for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Jennings and Veronica Jennings Heard.
He is survived by his daughter, Britney Jennings; brother, Darnell (Faye) Turner; sisters, Willie (Frank) Swopes, Lavonia (Joe) Heard, Gloria (Leon) Haden, Patricia Tolliver, Joyce Smith, Gaynell Acklin, Juanita Bush, all of Chattanooga; Glinda (George) Billingsley, Sweetwater, Tn.; Bernadette (Jeffery) Hawkins, Priscilla (Michael) Thomas of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews; special nieces, Tonya (Fedel) Cox and Quintoria Taylor; great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, close friends, Andrea Mapp and Odis Gaines; caregivers, Parkridge Medical Center; NHC Nursing Home and Hospice of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, June 16, in the chapel with Pastor Randy Beck officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Sunday, June 15, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
