Car-Mart Hosts Grand Opening And Ribbon Cutting July 11

Car-Mart of Hixson will celebrate its grand opening on July 11 at 1 p.m.  The business is at 4514 Hixson Pike.  The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce will coordinate the event.

America’s Car-Mart was founded in 1981 when the first location was opened in Rogers, Ar.  Today, Car-Mart has over 130 locations in Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Missouri, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Texas. Car-Mart now has over 52,000 customers, but the spirit and high level of customer service has remained the same.  

Car-Mart of Hixson is the 6th Tennessee location for the company.  Hours of business are Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

Appalachian Community Bank Vice President Sentenced To Federal Prison For Bank Fraud

William R. Beamon, Jr., a/k/a “Rusty” Beamon has been sentenced to three years, six months in federal prison for defrauding Appalachian Community Bank, in Ellijay, Georgia. Ganns/Falling Water School Way Over Budget

The final figure for the new Ganns/Falling Water School is way over budget, county officials said Wednesday. However, the County Commission voted to proceed on the $29,414,000 project. Hutcherson Says Erlanger Board To Be More Transparent; Dinner Meetings To Be Open
