Zoe's Rainbow Dash To Benefit Children's Hospital

  • Wednesday, June 18, 2014

Zoe's Rainbow Dash, a family-friendly 5K color run, will be held on Friday, July 4 at 8 a.m. around the perimeter of Hamilton Place Mall.  Partial proceeds from the event will benefit T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.

Ten-year-old Zoe Madeline McDonough and her grandmother, Sue McDonough, were killed in a boating accident in 2012. Their family created this color run in memory of the two.

Registration for the run is $40 for ages 13 years or older, $25 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for children under 5-years-old.  Teams of four or more members are also encouraged to register.  Adult team members will receive a $5 registration discount.

Representatives from Children’s Hospital Foundation will be a part of this event.  When participants register for the run, they can choose to donate their registration fee to Children’s Hospital.  Donations will go to the new patient room renovations.  Last year’s event raised $7,000 for the hospital.
