2014-2015 Administrative Positions Announced For Hamilton County Schools

Superintendent Rick Smith is announced that the following individuals have accepted administrative positions for the 2014-15 school year. These administrators will begin their assignments in their new positions on July 1, 2014.

Central Office:

Sheryl Randolph, current director of Student Services, has taken an administrative position within “Innovation Zone.” Ms. Randolph returned to HCDE in 2007.

Marsha Drake, principal at Lakeside Academy, will replace Ms. Randolph as the director of Student Services. Ms. Drake has been with HCDE since 1999.

Elementary:

Andrea Johnson, current assistant principal at Woodmore Elementary, will become principal at Lakeside Academy.  Ms. Johnson has been with HCDE since 1995.


Virginia College Hosts Holiday Open House Dec. 6

Virginia College in Chattanooga will host a free Holiday Friends and Family Open House for staff, faculty, students and their families on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to be held at the campus located at 721 Eastgate Loop Road. Lee Student Presents At American Mathematics Society

Lee University student Jonathan Clark presented at the fall Southeastern Sectional Meeting of the American Mathematics Society. His presentation was titled “An Application of a Generalized Parameterization of Conic Sections.” Mr. Clark’s presentation took a closer look at the connection between the two- and three-dimensional definitions of conic sections. Bradley County Police Investigating Shooting

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of Georgetown Road.  A BCSO officer was waved down at the intersection of 25 th Street and Peerless Road by the driver of a vehicle who told the officer a gunshot victim was inside. Police Investigating An Armed Robbery On Friday Night At UTC

UTC Police are investigating with the Chattanooga City Police an armed robbery in Lot 4 near Boling Apartments on Friday night.
