Community Church Begins Ministry For Alzheimer's Sufferers And Caregivers

Christ United Methodist Church has started a new ministry for those in the community with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers.  “Let’s Sing from Memory” provides a time of fellowship and fun while singing the old songs many love and remember.

The group will meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday mornings of each month from 10-11:30 a.m.   The next get-together will be next Tuesday in the Youth Center. Christ United Methodist is located at the intersection of East Brainerd Road and Morris Hill Road (across from Hurricane Hills and Publix.

Girl, 12, Stabs Boy, 13, Twice At Lookout Valley Middle High School

A female student stabbed a male student twice at Lookout Valley Middle High School on Thursday morning. It happened in a middle school classroom.
