The 55th annual Chattanooga area Prep Football Jamboree is set with 12 games in two nights, Aug. 15-16 at Finley Stadium.

Friday Aug 15

7 p.m. - Tyner vs. Silverdale

7:30 p.m. - Boyd-Buchanan vs. Sale Creek

8 p.m. - Howard vs. Bradley Central

8:30  p.m. - McCallie vs. Signal Mountain

9 a.m. - Baylor vs. Cleveland

9:30 p.m. - McMinn County vs. Red Bank

Saturday Aug. 16

7 p.m. - Grace vs. East Ridge

7:30 p.m. - Notre Dame vs. Brainerd

8 p.m. - Hixson vs. Walker Valley

8:30 p.m. - East Hamilton vs. Chattanooga Central

9 p.m. - Rhea County vs. Ooltewah

9:30 p.m. - Soddy Daisy vs. Franklin County

Jamboree Notes:

New Coaches: Four new coaches will have their teams in the Jamboree ... Ryan Mallory (Chattanooga Central), Dan Duff (Hixson), Mark Teague (Howard) and Chad Grabowksi (Red Bank).

First Chattanooga Jamboree - Aug. 25, 1960 at Chamberlain Field at UTC ... 5 games and tickets were $1 ...

Ninth Year at Finley Stadium ... The Chattanooga Jamboree has been held at various locations during the past 50 plus years ... first year at Finley was 2006.

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior Keionta Davis has accepted an invite to participate in the the 2017 Reese's Senior Bowl, announced today.  Davis is the 2016 Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year and led the league with 10.5 sacks as a defensive end. Valerie Bray Pleads Guilty In Death Of Well-Known Runner Cameron Bean

A long-time Moccasin Bend Hospital employee pleaded guilty on Tuesday morning in connection with the death of well-known runner Cameron Bean. Ms. Bray pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and leaving the scene of an accident with a fatality involved. Officer Who Was Shot Returned Fire; Is Recovering Well; Shooter Still On Loose

Chattanooga Police Chief Fred Fletcher said Monday morning that the officer who was shot three times on Thursday is recovering well.   Chief Fletcher said the officer was wearing a bullet-proof vest and one bullet hit the vest, which protected him during the shooting.  The officer was able to return fire, although Chief Fletcher would not comment on how many bullets ...
