Street Closings Announced For The Weekend

Riverfront Parkway between Power Alley and Chestnut Street will be closed from 9 a.m. on Friday, until 5 p.m. on Sunday, for the Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon setup.

West 7th Street between Chestnut Street and Broad Street and the right southbound lane of Broad Street between West 7th Street and West 8th Street will be closed from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, for a wedding procession.

Reggie White Boulevard between West 19th Street and the entrance to the Skate Park will be closed from 1 p.m. on Friday, until 9 p.m. on Saturday, for the Man Xpo. 

ML King Boulevard between Broad Street and Georgia Avenue and Market Street between East 8th Street and East 10th Street will be closed from 5:30 p.m.-midnight on Friday, for the Nightfall Concert Series.   The 800 block of Cherry Street will be closed at ML King Boulevard and will only be accessible from East 8th Street.  There will be limited handicapped parking in the 900 block of Georgia Avenue on the Miller Park side on the meters covered with Orange "reserved" bags.

Riverfront Parkway between Aquarium Way and Molly Lane, Chestnut Street from Aquarium Way to Riverfront Parkway, Power Alley from Aquarium Way to Riverfront Parkway, the off ramp from the Veterans Bridge to Riverfront Parkway, the Highway 27 southbound on-ramp from West 4th Street, the Highway 27 southbound on-ramp from M.L. King Boulevard, Highway 27 southbound between West 4th Street and M.L. King Boulevard, Highway 27 northbound between M.L. King Boulevard and West 4th Street, Highway 27 southbound between Signal Mountain Road and Dayton Boulevard, the median lanes of Riverfront Parkway from M.L. King Boulevard to Molly Lane, the curb lanes of M.L. King Boulevard from Riverfront Parkway to the Highway 27 northbound on-ramp, and the median lanes of Highway 27 between M.L. King Boulevard and Highway 153 will be closed from 5 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday, for the Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon.

City Council Presents Potential Ordinance To Address Noise Level Downtown

Members of the Chattanooga City Council presented a potential ordinance to address concerns about the noise level downtown. If passed, the ordinance will put limits on both dB(A) and dB(C) levels of sound. It was noted, "When we compare our dB level, it is clear that Chattanooga is lower than Nashville and Knoxville." Man Shot On Ohls Avenue While Working In His Yard

A Chattanooga man was shot Tuesday evening, while working in his yard. At approximately 8:55 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 4217 Ohls Ave. for a shooting.
