City Council Unanimously Approves $216 Million Budget On 2nd Reading

The City Council on Tuesday night approved the $216 million operating budget for Fiscal Year 2014/2015 on second reading.

The vote was unanimous, with Councilman Larry Grohn changing his vote since the first reading when eight were in favor and one against.

This is the city’s first budget that is 100 percent under the new Budgeting for Outcomes plan in which departments and agencies submit proposals and the administration decides if they are in line with top city priorities.
