Dalton State Offers Volleyball Camp

Dalton State Coach Bruna Langner announced that a one day Roadrunner Volleyball Camp will be held on Saturday, July 26 at Mack Gaston Community Center, 218 North Frederick Street, in Dalton.

Beginning to experienced volleyball players are invited to attend. The camp for girls and boys age six to 11 will be from 10 a.m. until noon. Cost will be $30. Camp for 12 through 18 year olds will be from -4 p.m. Cost will be $35.

Coach Langner said participants must sign up by July 20 to receive a camp t-shirt.

City To Begin Shipping Much Of Its Garbage To Bradley County

City Public Works Administrator Justin Holland said the city plans to begin shipping much of its garbage to Bradley County. He said the deal is projected to extend the life of the city landfill at Birchwood by 15 years.
